If they had Star Lord say something anti-Christian, that’s pretty cruel since Chris Pratt is very open about his Christianity. I didn’t see the movie.

Kevin Feige and the guy over the TV shows don’t like each other, so it’s pretty much a one-way street. The shows make some reference to the movies (probably Disney ordering it for free advertising), but the days of the movies referencing the shows are pretty much over. You won’t be seeing any of those Netflix heroes in the MCU movies, though Daredevil would make sense in Spider-Man.

I think the green Lantern is the gay one.
Obama is just too late.

“the days of the movies referencing the shows are pretty much over.”

They have not yet begun...yes, DD would make sense in Spider-Man, as would the Kingpin. The Marvel Universe has completed only Stage I. There’s a lot to come, especially if Disney’s acquisition of the Fox properties happens. They will have the X-Men and FF canon to reintroduce, and it’s likely that, eventually, the Netflix properties will be folded in as well.

The only quasi-Christian is not MCU, but Sony: Kurt Wagner, AKA Nightcrawler.

““Are any Christians depicted in the MCU?”

Daredevil, Catholic, son of a nun.”

Good one. I had forgotten about the Netflix shows. DD definitely qualifies.

It wasn’t cruel. Just a smart-ass response to Dr. Strange. It was the only reference to Christianity I could remember in the MCU until another poster reminded me that Daredevil is a Christian, confesses regularly etc...

I mean it’s cruel to give a line mocking Christianity to the devout Christian. He could have refused to say the line, one supposes. They wouldn’t cut his role if he said something else.

Soon to be the newest Super Movie FLOP!

As I recall, there were a lot of people here saying that about Black Panther. I'm not saying this will necessarily be a big hit, but I wouldn't discount the possibility.

DD is one of the best Marvel characters ever. The Frank Miller run on the comic book series were classic.
