I don’t even like calling them “Progressives”. The name is an abuse of language: their goal is conquest, not progress. I prefer to call them “Leftists”, or, more descriptively, “Coercives”. In common with all totalitarians, they don’t acknowledge individual liberty or individual rights. “Marxist” works, but I can see many of them abandoning Marx one day, if that’s what it takes to achieve absolute power.
The definition of Progressives, are those progressing towards something, which they definitely are. It is literally their definition of progress also. Like a person approaching the edge of the Grand Canyon with intent to fly to the bottom, that kind of progress.
