JFTR, “Mac”, the Irish and Scots Gaelic word for “son”, is not related to the diminutive name “Mick”, which is short for Michael.

Or “Thick Mick” as half of Boston was called by the other half when I grew up years ago in Boston-——and we Irish tossed a few back ourselves.

No one was offended,or triggered,or needed a safe space.
