No, it is not. Treason has a very definition that is strictly limited by the Constitution. We are not at war with Iran, as so Iran is not our “enemy” under Article III, Section 3 of the Constitution.

If this was treason, then the Adams Administration almost certainly would have had George Logan prosecuted for treason. And, unlike Iran today, we were in a shooting war with France at the time. Instead, the Federalists in the 5th Congress, who I suspect had a pretty good idea of what the Constitution meant, felt the need to pass a law to make it illegal, hence the Logan Act.
