The final prayer spoken at the opening of the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem on Monday thanked God but also touched on the historic and biblical significance behind President Donald Trumps decision to officially recognize the capital of Israel by moving U.S. diplomatic headquarters from Tel Aviv to the city on the hill.
The Rev. John Hagee, senior pastor of Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Texas, and national chairman of Christians United for Israel (CUFI), gave the benediction following the dedication ceremony that included remarks by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Trump advisors Jared Kushner, Ivanka Trump and Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin attending as part of the U.S. delegation.

You mean “Duel Covenant” Hagee?
Hagee’s prayer was powerful and spot on. Amen!
Guess some folks have an issue with the Rev. You can pick your pastor as you see fit. Only ‘One’ is a NO ISSUE guy. At least for a lot of us. ;-)
And even with HIM they had to create an issue to get rid of Him (they thought they did anyway). Fake news goes way back in history.
That's the one. Shame, because he's pretty solid everywhere else but....there it is. "A little leaven...."
This is where American Christians differ from Euro Christians. European Christians always tended toward anti-Semitism and anti-Israel. American Christians, particularly since the Second World War, tend to be very much pro-Israel.
Probably more pro-Israel than are Jewish Americans. This is why American politicians have to pretend at least to support Israel to get elected. It isn’t to get Jewish support, it is because Christians by and large won’t vote for anyone who doesn’t at least pretend to support Israel.
The Gospel and Jesus Christ often seem to get jettisoned pretty quickly by American Christian pastors who want to hobnob with the Israeli bigwigs (and with American rabbis too).
Europeans didn’t have the Schofield Bible.
Wow!
Matthew 16:16-17
Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”
Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven.
The Lord will use his own words against him at the Great White Throne Judgement.
Denying Christ’s Messiahship - amazing!

I think a blessing from a priest would have been nice, too. They could have done it together.
Yeah. Wow. That was my response too when he first came out with this doosy.
He apparently came out an apologized and repented for this, but someone who is supposed to be leading a flock should have known better. Should have never made a major error like this.
I hope he did repent, but being a ‘preacher’, beau coup errors like this is “one strike and you’re out” in my book. Haven’t paid attention to him at all since.
