There may have been a lot of us who were early precursors of the TEA Party, but this was the first time I remember the acronym started being used nationally. It was a rant by Rick Santelli on some Chicago trading floor. It really was the first national exposure, the acronym grew to be used by a lot of organizations, and there were national protests for over a year.
