A local TV news report included clear pictures of the dogs, post-euthenasia. They may well have had dachshund in them, but they clearly also had pitbull (”terrier”) or rottweiler. It was obvious they weren’t purebred doxies. Also, as the article states, the owner hadn’t been taking care of them. All of the dogs had been roaming wild for some time and were covered in fleas and ticks.
I said Dachshund TRAITS, such as short legs. Not pure.
And honestly,the mama looks kind of like a pure Wirehaired Dachshund. But maybe not.
