It’s reasonable to assume that much of the new information in the New York Times report relates to leakers’ fears about information that will be coming out in the inspector general report.

The New York Times published an article yesterday confirming the United States’ intelligence apparatus was used to spy on Donald Trump’s presidential campaign in 2016.

THIS JUST IN: Then-CIA Director, John Brennan, sucked up bgtime to get a job with Hillary;
he worked tidbits from the phony ‘Pee Dossier’ into Obama’s Daily Intel Briefing (PDB)

My takeaway is that Brennan and Hillary pegged Obama correctly......

By working with friendly reporters, these leaking FBI officials can ensure the first story about their unprecedented spying on political opponents will downplay that spying and even attempt to justify it.

I don't believe... not for a second - that reporters were 'friendly'... it was quid pro quo... the coin of the realm was information and the 'take' was large...

Eff the New York Times and Washington Post for wantonly destroying journalism... and all the decency the profession once stood for...
