GOP Rep. Walter Jones (N.C.) on Thursday introduced legislation that would instruct the House to call on the White House to formally apologize for a staffers insensitive comments that Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) was dying anyway.
Jones, a vocal critic of President Trump, rolled out the resolution after becoming outraged by comments made about McCain by White House aide Kelly Sadler and her refusal to publicly apologize, The Hill has learned.
Last year, McCain was diagnosed with glioblastoma, an aggressive brain cancer, and the longtime senator is now receiving treatment at his home near Sedona, Ariz.
House Resolution 901 was introduced with one co-sponsor, Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-Mo.), and will now be circulated in the House.
Whereas every family deserves dignity and respect in the trying times of a loved ones declining health; Whereas our religious and social traditions call upon us to apologize for wrongdoing, states the Jones resolution, which was obtained by The Hill.

The entire US intelligence/security apparatus is being outed for massive corruption, and all this fool is concerned about is McLame’s feelings?
McCain the traitor, who left us with Obamacare!
I guess Congress has too much time on their hands.
I’m sure Paul Ryan will get right on this....
I guess congress has gotten everything done and has lots of free time to waste on stupid things like virtue signaling about wanting apologies for someone else.
What a bunch of posturing, lying, opportunistic hypocrites.
Jones leaked this?
Oh for gawd’s sakes . . . just STFU
Vote this bastard out, please
We don’t need these apologists and idiots . . . too many real issues to focus on
Poor widdle biddy McCain’s fweelings got hurt? That’s nothing compared to the victims of Songbird
Does the apology extent to all the dead and dying genocidal jihadists, or only Ace?
I*ts McSlime that needs to apologize.
We’ll get right on that, Congressman, just as soon as you provide proof that Senator McCain is not dying, so we can be sure the statement was not the truth.
Failing in that, please point us to anything in the Constitution that gives the federal government the power to judge which speech is too insensitive to be declared without apology.
Why should the WH apologize? McStain has done more damage to this country than Ted Kennedy!
I agree. Liberal pantywaists of the Uniparty being ... liberal pantywaists.
The Congress is going to legislate politeness?
Maybe McCain can apologize to Sarah Palin.
She did nothing to deserve his statement about ‘ wishing he had never pickled her ‘.
The man is a low life.
Sorry, Mr. Jones, but let me say this, ‘GFY’. Is he running for re-election? I might have to donate to his opponent.
>>This must be fake news because no Republican congressman could be that stupid.<<
/s? You have got to be kidding! Because there are dozens of RINOs who demonstrate their gross stupidity almost every time they open their yaps. And possibly the only people who are MORE stupid are those who vote for them there has been an opportunity to primary them out of office.
>>These GOP skanks. Theres no end to their cowtowing, snake-like behavior.<<
Well and truly stated. I cannot think of anything other than MONEY that would tempt people to forsake their personal honor and integrity. It’s absolutely shameful, and they are way beyond contempt.
Yes. Post #19 was hiding in the bushes.
