If former President Barack Obama wants the Obama Presidential Center to define his legacy, he’s going to have to let life go full circle.
That means climbing off his presidential high horse and returning to his roots as a community organizer.
Once Obama announced his library would be in Chicago, it was as if the former president had suddenly turned into a greedy real estate developer.
And unfortunately, the manner in which the project was unveiled wasn’t inclusive.
Jeanette Taylor, the education director for the Kenwood Oakland Community Organization, Taylor said she asked the former president why he wouldn’t sign a CBA.
Taylor said Obama told her, “I was a community organizer . . . I know the neighborhood. I know that the minute you start saying, ‘Well we’re thinking about signing something that will determine who’s getting jobs and contracts and this and that,’ . . . next thing I know, I’ve got 20 organizations coming out of the woodwork.”
“He’s got a lot of nerve saying that,” Taylor told Politco. “He’s forgotten who he is. He forgot the community got him where he is,” she said.
The relationship between the Obama Foundation and the activist community has been adversarial ever since.
Right now, there is so little trust between the Obama Foundation and grass-roots activists, we might as well be talking about the Chicago Police Department and Black Lives Matter.

By Obama’s own admission, he was a failure as a community organizer.
I think it resembles the cube in Mecca, or a Mayan pyramid.
Lock him up.
Obama needs to return to Hell.
He’s been saying he was going to come back and organize a massive resistance movement since March of 2017.
I have read that Obama’s roots are as a drug addled hustler turning tricks for dope back in Hawaii
Amazingly, the world is learning that barry soetero, isn’t quite as popular as he was promoted to be. If he didn’t do 8yrs, very long years in DC, I doubt many in Chicago would have been able to pick him out of a line-up. Kind of like Corey Booker, the mayor who wasn’t there of Newark.
That would be a much better pic to hang in the Smithsonian I'm thinking?

In other words, never try to “community organize” a “community organizer”.
Yeah, he’s gotta be REALLY interested in that “down wit da peeps in da hood” stuff, you know, whenever he be takin’ a break from his $65 MM book.
It was probably just a label anyways. He was always getting others to do his work for him. Laziest president ever.
The sooner the better. Or maybe go visit the Big Island.
