A 'Blue Wave' of Moral Restoration (liberal world crumbling down all around them)
New York Times ^ | May 17, 2018 | Charlie Blow

President Donald Trump’s approval ratings are rising. The Democratic advantage on survey questions about party preference for control of Congress is vanishing. Liberal anxiety about the fate of the midterms — is rising.

For world leaders, Donald Trump is the representative of America, which remains the planet’s military and economic powerhouse, and in that way, for now, America is not only too big to fail, it is too big to forsake.

Other countries will do whatever it takes to have a successful relationship with the United States, whatever their version of “successful” means. In the case of Trump, many have realized that the best way to work with him is to flatter him, and the highest form of flattery is to make him feel that he’s winning and is respected.<

Stop hoping that Trump’s supporters will abandon him. They may never. Each voter must be governed by his or her own conscience. If they have chosen to follow the forsaken down his path of destruction, so be it. Focus instead on increasing the awareness, passion and turnout and on fighting apathy and burnout.

Work hard, message well and bring your passion — and a few neighbors and friends — to the polls in November.

I was talking to someone who is more moderate, who has voted for Democrats and Republicans both in the past, for various offices.

He tells me he is afraid to vote for Democrats now.

I wonder how prevalent that attitude might be.

He said the Democrats and liberals are unhinged. He said how they are pushing transgender issues, pushing illegal alien rights, fighting Trump even where he clearly has authority, such as tying up Trump’s travel ban in court.

And then he started in on the White House correspondents dinner, and simply said , add it all up, and these people are nuts. They should be nowhere near the levers of power.

If the Democrats lose some more moderate people like this guy, I sure don’t see their blue wave and taking back Congress.

They can’t take back Congress just by turning out liberals and transsexuals and even performing voter fraud, if they lose the bulk of the center of American political life.

Vote in November, folks. Trump isn’t running, but the allies he needs in Congress are. VOTE!
