If she had voted for a communist in her youth she would have received 25 more votes.

Good most of us with half a brain can live with that.

It’s called winning!

Good description of McStain: screaming the C word at his wife and daughters, throwing his feces and urine at anyone coming near his deathbed. He thought he could bully his feliow senators, and the vote really wasn’t even close—even with his butt boy Saint Jeffy Flake voting no.

Bwah hah hah, take THAT, Juan McStain!!!!

54-45. This is life as we know it for the foreseeable future: Democrats casting “no” votes on appointments for no reason at all beyond sheer cussedness.

Yep. In many cases the very same Democrats who, on election night, sat there lecturing us on how the most important thing was for the country to “heal” and pull together.

Dems Donnelly, Heitkamp, Manchin, Nelson,

LOL. They have something in common. I can’t quite put my finger on it.

I could be wrong, but didn’t she refuse to answer a couple of Paul Rand’s questions?

Maybe Paul has bought in to the suggestions, of some, that she oversaw the London/CrossfireHurricane op, as that region’s director. Others have said she had no oversight to that operation.

If her ideology aligns with John Brennan then she is likely to stab Trump in the back, and in the front too. But it's hard to find a person for this job who does not have the delusion that "The Russians" did something that significantly helped Trump but they can't tell us what that is.

In my opinion, Brennan is the embodiment of what we never need - a political, treasonous CIA director. I hope Haspel is different, but just because Dems voted against her is not a convincing argument.

I thought they were written questions, and an immediate response was not required. I have some douBts about Haspel, see #68.

GOP Sen. John McNuts (Ariz.), who was captured and tortured during the Vietnam War, also opposes her nomination but is in Arizona battling brain cancer.

So McNuts had all of this advice, but couldn't be present to vote? Why isn't he retired?

ESAD McNuts!

Tester is up for re-election in Montana. I don’t think this helped him!

Trump: Congratulations, Gina.

Gina: I changed my mind. Let’s start waterboarding again.
Where did you say Mueller’s hotel was?

Trump: Here’s the address. Happened to have it in my pocket.

Senators have to be present on the Senate floor to vote. McCain did not vote. See reply 42.

There have been cases in the past where sick Senators were brought in on a gurney so they could cast their vote. Sorry, I have no names or dates.
