Back in the early 2000’s my son attended a downtown high school that was separated from a main road by a wide sidewalk.
A few times I picked him up there on the way out of town for the weekend with the plinking .22’s in the trunk.
Every time I ever took my other son to his high school campus I had a machete in the trunk and a 4” folder in the glove box.
Bring back scorn and shame ... or at the very least have a culture that does not celebrate it.
The Scarlet letters...NRA.
Each state’s national guard could be tapped for guard service.
Eliminate (or at least reduce drastically) all federal welfare and entitlements.
Pipe dream, though. It'll never happen.
I hope this kind of talk is just to placate the loony left, because it’s quite clear government not only cannot solve this problem, there is much evidence to suggest they contribute to it.
Also, how long before Ed Stack of Dick’s Sporting Goods raises the age to purchase a firearm to, say, 35? Raising it to 21 worked so well/s.
At the risk of repeating myself...how would that be accomplished?
The cycle will continue until we become like Australia or England. The left has a true tactic to get what they want. They savor every shooting. America has been so warped by the left. I agonize over the next kids who have a death sentence and don’t know it.
Canada by 2030. Australia by 2050. England by 2075. Japan by 2100.

The inner city school are filled with armed students who would fight back.
The armed students have figured out how to bypass the metal detectors.

Yes, that’s true, but if we keep continuing to send kids to undefended and unfortified schools, then we are also to blame.
Tomorrow every parent in this country should refuse to send their children to any undefended and unfortified school.
Just stop sending them, and tell those who need to know that the children won’t be back until they’ve been secured.

It would be interesting to look at the disparity of school shootings between the “good” schools and the inner-city schools. I wonder if some of the school shootings are viewed by the shooter as a fantasy. They get bullied, are the odd one, whatever. They can fulfill some of their “revenge” by playing video games, etc. But - the real nutcases want to turn their fantasy into reality.
Whereas the inner-city schools, and the kid’s lives, are already filled with enough brutal reality - they don’t need or want a violent fantasy to give their lives meaning?

I retorted;
I said that and added that taking away money and benefits doesn't hurt, nor will it have one BIT of an effect on whether a girl gets pregnant or not, because money can always be gotten.
Benefits can always be traded.
Without the baby, there's a hole in a woman's heart and THAT'S where the change(s) take place (The original challenge prompting my very first reply / comment)
Because single motherhood is firmly established in the American female psyche, it has to be eliminated by an equally psychic phenonenon.
I added (because ALL Americans are stubborn), if the TEMPORARY loss of a child (Did you forget the visitation part ?... it happens all the time even now as we speak) .. doesn't affect a girl's thinking then maybe something more drastic like sterilization could be mandated.
Observe Trump as an adult .... he is having a serious, positive affect by just talking ( carrying a big stick )
Trust me, if any of this actually happened, the lamestream would be all OVER it and it would become the cause celebre that would have you and me arguing and discussing ...
What are we gonn'a do about all these kids to unwed and single mothers that are draining our system?

The only “action” that will work is requiring guns in significant numbers in schools.
Anyone who offers anything else should be “stoned outside the gate.”
