A friend of mine was waiting to p ark her car in NYC in the winter while the car in that space was warming up. Someone pulled in and refused to give it up even though she was there first and waiting.

She was a vengeful type and slashed all 4 of his tires and left a note “Enjoy the space. You’re going to be here awhile.”

That is a truly heartwarming winter story to me. Thank you!

I have mindset in which I cannot accept past hurts unless I get revenge. I wish I didn’t but it’s me all over. Oddly, I never actually get revenge but nurse old wounds and brood over them. Not really a Paul Kersey, am I. So far.

A great book: Payback:The Case For Revenge by Thane Rosenbaum. Discusses hypocrisy of saying “it’s for justice, not revenge” and other mind games. It is revenge or subjugating your own worth to the bully.

When I lived in the city of Philadelphia when it snowed a lawn chair in a cleared space meant “Doom on you if you move it!”. Your life will be in jeopardy. That is our society. I played parking insanity for a few years from snow, bad roads, vandalism and nightly window break-ins. That is why I had a beater car.
