On Friday, he emerged from that debacle after strong-arming the entire Chilean bishops conference to resign for what he said were their "grave defects" in handling abuse cases. And for the Pope there is the bright side to this nuclear option.
He gets to appoint his cronies to fill the vacancies.
Any conservative bishop will be replaced with a Liberal social justice warrior bishop.
