I never bought his ‘child was a superstar’ reason for defending human life. It seemed like a liberal response - determining someones right to life based on their utility to others. In practice though he appears to be doing all he can to support pro life policies. He impresses me more each day.

I was raised very pro-llife - bern that wet as long as I can remember.
But when I had my first kid, a daughter, being aware of her in her mom’s belly for all those months and then seeing her tiny, vibrant self for the first time, I have to admit the issue took on a new meaning for me.
I think Trump was trying to describe a similar ‘wake up call’, albeit clumsily.
Actions speak louder than words, and this president is speaking loudly on a lot of fronts. He may not be able to say things like Ronald Reagan would say them, but he acts.
