How many UNION MEMBERS would grieve having to work in a school where a shooting took place?

What people need to know is the school violence in China. They have no guns. So they attacked kindergartens with knives. Often they killed 10 to 20 kids in one attack. China could not stop it from reoccurring. So they put guards in all the schools. And they stopped the endless reporting on it. The two acts stopped the attacks. Schools are attacked because it makes the news and its an easy target.

I know something that is apparently very hard to figure out.

If they reduce news coverage of shootings to just a small mention and call the killer "deranged murderer" or something like that the killings would stop.

I don't understand why that is so hard for news media to figure out.

Since we apparently can't have that, the next solution is to arm as many teachers as will volunteer.

If we ban salt weapons and mandate universal background checks, most gun violence in the US would cease.

None when I was growing up. Parents were responsible and accountable for their childrens’ actions.

If large buildings hosting hundreds and sometimes thousands of children under the age of eighteen didn't exist .... there would BE no shootings.

If men's incomes can come up close to what is now a double income family .. (CLOSE, I say, not match), I think the incentive for a mama to stay home would help advance home schooling.

I have been an opponent of government indoctrination centers for many years and shutting them down would serve our nation quite well if we can get the mama's to teach their own kids.

Problem is;
The mama's feel like they are not smart enough to teach their own kids so they send their kids to the same institution that graduated the mama who feels academically inferior.

Why is it always take action now? Why is action better than meaningful accomplishments that address root causes?

The system is broken on many levels! HANDS OFF polices put into play, willing administrations wanting to be all inclusive, avoid mental illness issues and don’t report, “we can fix these disturbed children here at school” by being inclusive, continuing the fairy land all is beautiful all is wonderful non threatening atmosphere, paying little or no attention to security, convincing parents that the problem is not the system and how we have to keep our school safe by not bowing to threats like this which means nothing changes. They know who the problem kids are and they refuse to report or those who do or want to are ostracized for doing so

Jeez, I failed the quiz badly. The only question I got right was the question about increased funding. I guessed that 99% of teachers wanted more money, and I was right.

School security is still absent in many schools. A kid gets in with a shotgun?

How much do you know . . .
I love the “public service announcements” which start out fairly noncontroversial but wind up being “liberal” claptrap - and end with the tagline, “The more you know."

Considering the number of schools, gun violence is trivial

More kids are injured in bus accidents than with guns.

More kids are shot on Chicago streets than in schools
