Laurel or Yanny?
If you are scratching your head over that question then you probably haven't been on the Web for the past few days. During that time, a viral audio clip has been featured in which a listener will hear either "Laurel" or "Yanny." Two very different sounding words. Well, the White House entered this controversy with an amusing video featuring staffers who heard one or the other word.
They also tweeted out the video and not unsurprisingly it triggered an angry reaction from liberals as we shall see.

p.s. I want them to produce a noise that sounds like "crossfire" to some and "hurricane" to others.
Its all in the speakers and also your hearing.
Those with better hearing will pick up Yanny as its in the high end of the audio spectrum.
Depending on if youre listening to it with headphones, speakers or good speakers you will likely hear different things as the sound reproduction ability of the delivery system will be better on the high end or low end.
Typically small and cheap speakers will have very poor low end and bass reproduction abilities.
I think ANYTHING this White House does will trigger liberals.
I think this whole Yanny/Laurel thing is some kind of hoax. I refused to believe two different people hearing the same recording at the same time hear it two different ways. If people heard completely different words for the same sound it would be like the tower of Babel. Somehow they are differing recordings.
Having said that, when my grandkids are told “maybe”, they definitely hear “yes”!
Humorless dolts.
Apparently, they think conservatives lack humor.
And they’re angry when they perceive conservatives laugh at them.
Sucks to be them.
Same
(I'm triggered)
Definitely insane. “Concentration camps?” The anti-Trump left has lost its mind.
No wonder why Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel have way too many sour faces on their late night shows lately.
Concatenations Kamp...
“Those with better hearing will pick up Yanny as its in the high end of the audio spectrum.”
A Mesa Boogie .22 amp turned to 11 ruined that for me.
It’s called frequency.
The audio tract includes both sounds. You hear whichever one based on various factors but primarily decided by your personal hearing ability and the speakers being used. If you can’t hear high frequency sounds, or your speakers don’t reproduce them well, you will hear laurel.
I have a problem with the name Munoz. Every time I hear it, it sounds like Williams.
I hear cofeve! Hilarious.
They recorded two sounds on top of each other. Depending on what your ear is tuned to you will hear laurel or yanny.
“Trump deranged liberals heard “Immigrants” while everybody else heard “MS-13.””
I listened to too much Iron Butterfly in my youth. I hear Laurel.
This is so true. My wife tells me that for years she has been saying one thing and I hear another. Must be the same thing!
Nope, I was standing right next to someone. Cheap speakers, but we both heard a different word.
