Nah. It's pretty trivial. In bygone years Italians felt proud of DiMaggio. Jews were proud of Koufax or Hank Greenberg. Poles had Musial or Yastrzemski. African-Americans had Jackie Robinson and Willie Mays. Latinos had Roberto Clemente.

Saying that a very White woman made somebody proud to be Black when nothing at her wedding was very Black isn't necessarily a sign of the apocalypse or of insanity. It's something people can smile at or chuckle over.
