With her wedding just two months away, Icilma Cornelius arrived at the Lilburn office of Dr. Windell Boutte to prepare for her special day.

The 54-year-old bride-to-be came to the doctor’s full-service medical spa and cosmetic surgery center for Botox and another anti-wrinkle treatment. While there, the staff recommended cosmetic surgery that could give her a flat stomach before she married. Cornelius agreed to the surgical makeover by Boutte, whose website promotes the doctor as “nationally and internationally known” and a “doctor to the stars!”

Did the patient go to her PCP for a pre-op screening?

That’s what I had to do when I last had surgery

That AA doctor in the Bakke v. Davis decision lost his license for lousy medical practices.

He was targeting his liposuction procedures to "women of color", and at least one died, and more were subjected to "practices akin to torture".

After he lost his license, he got the munchies one night, and wandered into an inter-gang shootout at the eatery, and didn't survive the one or more rounds he caught in the crossfire.

Injecting your face with one of the most potent neurotoxins on the planet. What could possibly go wrong?

Speaking of things going wrong, remember the non-MD illegal alien using tire sealant to give “derriere enhancements” in the home?

Several years ago a TX FReeper died after she had a weight loss procedure. I was thinking it was the lap band.

Agreed; she was getting married in 2 months, obviously the guy loved her enough for herself.
She foolishly allowed herself to be talked into something that her fiance probably couldn’t have cared less about.

That was Oneal Ron Morris, a transgender person-of-color who plied her trade in Broward County, Florida.

Oneal Ron Morris, aka the "toxic tush doctor", was sentenced to a decade behind bars for her deadly cement plastic surgery.

The transgender woman, who is not a licensed doctor, injected silicone, mineral oil, Fix-a-Flat tire sealant, cement, and Super Glue into several women's backsides, resulting in the death of one of her patients.

From March of 2017:

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - For years, Oneal Ron Morris has been in the headlines for illegally injecting Super Glue and Fix-A-Flat into the backsides of women, an act that led to the death of one of her patients.

During a Monday court appearance, Morris called herself a victim of media attention and said she took a plea deal so she wouldn't have to face a jury in the manslaughter case of one of her patients.

Morris, who is a transgender woman, was sentenced to 10 years in prison and five years of probation. She will serve her sentence in a men's prison.

The sentencing came after Shartaka Nuby, a woman Morris considered a sister, paid for a butt injection five years ago. She subsequently had complications and died.

In court Monday, Morris complained about the media attention.

"I've been found guilty by the media and outside sources based on lies," she said.

Those words were not enough for family and friends of the victim.

"So as far as I'm concerned, 15 years is not enough," someone who knew the victim told the judge.

Police said that Morris made a business out of performing cut-rate cosmetic procedures.

Nuby's mother spoke in court and said she believes Morris should take responsibility for her actions.

"My daughter died the most inhumane death," she said. "(For) 18 months she suffered with not knowing the full (story) of what she put in her body."

Morris disagreed in court.

"I have never ever or would dare ever to inject or have injected any human with any type of unknown substance," Morris said.

This marks the second time Morris will be incarcerated for butt injection crimes, as she'd previously served a sentence in Miami-Dade County for practicing medicine without a license.

By 1996, Dr. Chavis was using liposuction to help women lose weight after giving birth. He was accused of mistreating eight liposuction patients, one of whom died. In 1998, the Medical Board of California revoked his license for ‘’gross negligence, incompetence and repeated negligent acts.’’

He became a rallying point for opponents of affirmative action. Other people said Dr. Chavis’s medical practice did not reflect relaxed admission standards but rather that he was a doctor with problems...

His professional difficulties began in 1993, at Long Beach Memorial Hospital, when he was accused of mishandling a delivery, and the hospital began monitoring him. He sued, charging racism. In a jury trial, he won $1.1 million in damages, but a judge overturned the verdict.

I had to be cleared for surgery by my regular doctor and since I have a heart condition, not life threatening, my surgery was in a hospital. It was non negotiable.
