Maxine Waters Under Ethical Scrutiny, Transferring $100K to Daughter from Campaign Funds
Western Journal ^ | May 21, 2018 | Randy DeSoto

Posted on 05/22/2018 9:23:15 AM PDT by george76

Democrat California Congresswoman Maxine Waters is slated to pay her daughter over $100,000 in campaign funds this election cycle

...

Karen Waters ...had collected approximately $650,000 as of April for running the slate mail operation for her mother over multiple election cycles.

That figure will top over $750,000 by the end of this cycle.

...

The liberal watchdog group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington named Waters one of the “most corrupt” members of Congress in 2011.

“In the midst of a national financial catastrophe (following the 2008 stock market crash), Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) used her position as a senior member of Congress and member of the House Financial Services Committee to prevail upon Treasury officials to meet with OneUnited Bank,” CREW explained. “She never disclosed that her husband held stock in the bank.”

...

According to CREW, her husband had also previously served on the board in what is billed as “America’s largest black owned bank.” The Washington Examiner reported the bank received $12 million in bailout funds from the federal government.

...

Omar Navarro, Waters’ 2018 Republican challenger, dinged his rival for .. living in a mansion outside of the 43rd congressional district she represents, which is located on the south side of Los Angeles.

“Where is Maxine Waters going?” he tweeted. “Maybe #HancockPark to the 4.3 Million Dollar Mega home outside the district.”

She’s been paying her daughter out of campaign funds for a while now.

Just who does Maxine think she is?

Hillary?

Does she have the 100k in her refrigerator?

Remember William Jefferson from Louisiana who had 90k in his fridge.

I’ve never been sorry I took the job. It gave me a decent salary and benefits to raise my two sons, plus a decent retirement. I used to tell people, “where else could you get a job, and be paid to be entertained every day?” It certainly wasn’t a job where you’d get bored. Because of the retirement tier I was in, I was able to retire 23 months prior to completing my 25 years. I was 56 at the time, and retired in 2003.

retired at 52 after a heart attack. 28 years. The department was good to me. I retired as assistant superintendent. The consulting taught me a lot and gave me national cred.

LOL! A lot of good it did. Seven years later and Max is still there, making liberals look like fools, almost on a daily basis.

Too bad the FEC is toothless.

Cycle? Do they mean ‘election cycle’, as in 2-years for congressmen? 750k over 2 years, to deal with a mailing list? It’s good to be related to a senior congressman.

To Republicans (whites) she’s untouchable. But an ethics charge brought by her own party — that’s how the DNC rids itself of members of the Black Caucus while ducking calls of ‘Racism’.

Even given the breathtaking venality of this scam, Waters has benefitted from her House gig to the tune of many, many millions, so giving her kid a mere 750K shows what a cheapskate she is, even with her own family, typical of liberals. So why should anyone be surprised that she has devoted absolutely zero to those in her district, while living very high off the hog in a mansion many miles outside her district?
