I hypothesize a combination of "more willing to admit it" + a small but noticeable fraction of females who say they are lesbians to stop unwanted attention from males.

The 10% figure came from Kinsey's study. No one has claimed that recently.

??? Lately I have seen many young males who seem effeminate. I think the USMC would have a difficult time to bring them out of it. Are they getting hormones in their meds? Something just isn’t right, there are too many of them.

My opinion is that this is a combination of

1. Media specifically sitcoms. I haven't watched TV in over a decade, but at one time (late 90s to early 2000s) was an avid watcher. And among the people I knew as well as myself, the acceptance that homerseksuality was "ok" grew with the sitcom friends and then Will & Grace. In fact more the "Friends" influence.
   
   
2. Lack of aim, motivation - people with nothing to do, no ambition, just "experiment"
   
   
3. Lack of solid structure -- I have no doubt some people have such "feelings" - just as others have "feelings" - but what distinguishes us from animals is our ability to overcome instinct and not be like the terrier that humps the cat
   
   
4. A permissive attitude - when everything is ok, one looks for further highs... humanity can't take too much freedom or we go crazy. We need limits even for ourselves.

I don’t think it’s due to the classic definition of feminism i.e. giving women equal opportunities. It’s PARTIALLY due to toxic feminism which says male=bad, but that’s not all feminists (thankfully) and that’s not the complete reason
