Facepalm: Obama Spy Chief Says Russia Decided Outcome of 2016 Election
Townhall.com ^ | May 24, 2018 | Matt Vespa

Obama’s former spy chief, James Clapper, is on a roll as of late. The ex-Director of National Intelligence has come to the defense of the intelligence community. Last week, it was reported that Stefan Halper, a longtime CIA operative and Cambridge University professor, spied on the Trump campaign, trying to make contacts with George Papadopoulos, Carter Page, and Sam Clovis. Yet, to Clapper, this isn’t spying. It was just a confidential source trying to glean information under false pretenses to see if there was any Russian collusion—and so far, there hasn’t been any evidence to suggest the Kremlin was tipping the scales. Oh, and it was a good thing that the FBI did this during the election. Well, now he’s taking it a step further. Despite multiple politicians involved in the investigation into Russian collusion on the Hill, Clapper says the Russians “decided” the election. And obviously by extension, he’s referring to President Trump. Also, the Mueller probe has yet to find any evidence of said collusion. Clapper made these remarks on PBS NewsHour Wednesday:

Russia 'turned' election for Trump, Clapper believes

Judy Woodruff [Host]: One of the things you write very — or have spoken about, I should say, in addition to writing about it very candidly is how you have concluded after what happened in 2016 that the Russians not only affected — tried to affect the election, but you said they actually did affect the outcome.

James Clapper: Yes.

Judy Woodruff: What did you mean?

James Clapper: Well, first, I need to make clear that, when we did our formal intelligence community assessment in January of 2017, we didn’t make any call at all about whether the Russians affected the outcome of the election. We didn’t have the authority, charter or capability to do that.

Since I left the government, though, as a private citizen, it’s what I would call my informed opinion that, given the massive effort the Russians made, and the number of citizens that they touched, and the variety and the multidimensional aspects of what they did to influence opinion and affect the election, and given the fact that it turned on less than 80,000 votes in three states, to me, it just exceeds logic and credulity that they didn’t affect the election, and it’s my belief they actually turned it.

former Dir of National Intelligence James Clapper says he's personally concluded Russians not only influenced but DECIDED outcome of 2016 election: "80 thousand votes in 3 states" @NewsHour tonight— Judy Woodruff (@JudyWoodruff) May 23, 2018

Weird because Obama assured us no such thing was possible. https://t.co/VCPMJzRijv— Instapundit.com (@instapundit) May 24, 2018

“There is no serious person out there who would suggest somehow that you could even rig America’s elections." -Barack Obama (October 2016)— Magilla Guerrilla (@jmkg95) May 24, 2018

Okay—leaving out the shoddy collusion claims, you have got to be kidding me. We’re now rehashing claims that were negated by Facebook and others. For starters, it’s not like the Russian troll farm operation to influence voters was a massive effort. It was a $100,000 effort, very small in the grand scheme of things, where presidential races are now $1 billion ventures. And did you see some of these ads, like Jesus arm wrestling Satan? It’s a joke. The fact that the institutional integrity of the U.S., and that of our election system, would be upended by a small social media campaign is abjectly ridiculous. Also, throughout most of 2016, everyone had pretty much made up their minds about which candidate they were going to vote for come Election Day. Russia didn’t alter vote tallies; The Washington Post had good pieces about how hard it is to hack/rig an election

“There is no serious person out there who would suggest somehow that you could even rig America's elections,” said former President Obama in October of 2016.

So, as with most who feed the liberal echo chamber that Russia colluded with the Trump team, or that Russia altered vote tallies, or that Russia’s influence tilted the election, it seems Mr. Clapper is approaching the unserious camp on this issue.

There is no way Trump won Ohio with just GOP votes, the same goes for Michigan and Wisconsin. For months, Rep. Debbie Dingell (D-MI) was warning her party that Trump could win her state. He did. He spoke to their issues on jobs, trade, and job protection. He positioned himself as a cheerleader for America; he had an economic agenda. Clinton did not. So, besides going insane on Russia interference, maybe think about the millions of Obama voters who flipped for Trump. The sour grapes over this election are becoming biblical in size from left-wingers concerning their whining. Clinton lost. She’s not coming back. She will never be president. And by the looks of it, most of your 2020 class isn’t much to write home about either.

I think Obama liked hiring people who weren’t as smart as him. Since Obama is an idiot, that means the quality of his hires was uniformly terrible.

Like Clapper’s mind, like his face in this article above, is collapsing. To think that I was worried about Brennan being the “enemy”. It all turns out, I say sarcastically, that the threat, all along, was the mental imploding of Clapper.

Brennan is our enemy. Have no idea who he supports, but I doubt it is the US since the CIA has screwed up so much on Libya, Syria, Iran, and to so degree, on No. Korea.

Clapper, on the other hand, was supposed to be the hotshot domestic intelligence boss, but for a big boss, he sure doesn’t known much.

I really miss J. Edgar Hoover, Bill Sullivan, DeLoach, Wannell, E. Brennan, and the others who knew who our enemies were and still are in a modified form.

THe destruction of the moral of the FBI (and CIA) began in Ernst, in 1975, when Sen. Frank Church (D-Id) took up the cause of the Communist Party USA/its fronts (aided by the KGB) operations aimed at these organizations, as well as local police intelligence units, military intelligence, etc.

Many of these operations had their origins in the 1930’s (International Red Aid - which led to the CPUSA’s creation of the “National Lawyers Guild” (NLG), which led to the further creations of the CP front, the National Emergency Civil Liberties Committee (NECLC -1950’s), their front, the National Committee to Abolish HUAC/HISC (1960’s/70’s), and the NLG creation for radical Marxist kiddy lawyers, the Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR), 1964.

Same players, some Party operatives, same KGB contacts, same goals - the destruction of the U.S. protective network known as the internal security group.

Some NLG members were in Congress (Conyers, Crockett, DeLacy, Abzug (and IADL, the KGB’s international legal front), while other communist sympathizers were on the House Judiciary Committee or Foreign Affairs/International Relations committees (Edwards, Kastenmeier ,Drinan, Michael Harrington, Louis Stoke - dumber than dogcrap on a summer day (I’ve seen him in action;

Others were on the Senate Judiciary Committee (Kennedy, Abourezk, Tunney The Dumb) or the Sen. Foreign Relations Committee(Church, McGovern, Wayne Mors. Democrats on the House Foreign Affairs/ International Relations Committee included members of the “Dirty Red Dozen or Two” - Leonard Farbstein the Stupid; Robert Nix (went to jail as I recall for some corruption crimes); Donald Fraser (I’m Out of My Mind and Loving It); Benjamin Rosenthal (wouldn’t trust him to clean my toilet - hardcore leftist); Ed. Roybal ( so-so); John Tunney before going to the Senate - gave a new dimension to the term “dumb dupe”; etc.

Later you could aid the best friend that communists had besides Ted Kennedy, John Kerry (D-Mass) who betrayed everyone who was around him or in a country fighting for their freedom.

Additional leftists who undermined our internal security system included Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass), on immigration; Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-Md) on immigration and the Walter McCarran Act re national security; and over the years, just about any Democrat congressman or woman from California (Waters, Dellums - supporter of the communist coup group that seized Grenada, McKinney, Pocan, the Burton Brothers and one’s wife, Sala Burton, Danny Davis (D-Ill), Rosa de Lauro (D-Conn), etc.

They attacked, and attacked, and undermined our security services relentlessly, some of whom relied mainly on CPUSA fronts’ materials which showed up in the Congressional Record and at hearings. Over the decades, led by the major assault by the Church Committee and a smaller effort by that fool Boland of Massachusetts, our defensive laws and walls were undermined, chipped at and often eliminated, as as were the congressional committees that served as the public’s eyes and ears on subversion and espionage.

Those attackers also went after the FBI, CIA, DIA, ONI, U.S. Army Military Intelligence Division records, OSI, and the Immigration arms that dealt with foreign spied and terrorists trying to get into the U.S.

Ted Kennedy tried to gut the Intelligence Agents Identity Act by writing a bill that could have come out of the Kremlin, and since it came out at about the same time he was playing footsies with the Kremlin (and Premier Andropov, the former head of the KGB), it just might have, through cut-outs in the ACLU and various communist front organizations.

The results have been a gradual undermining and weakening of our Intelligence agencies to the point that they have become almost useless (re Benghazi, Iran, Libya, ISIS, the hackers, etc).

Clapper is a result or a cause of this, as is Brennan, Mueller, Comey and their underlings.

What I have written is only a brief summary of how the reds and their liberal dupes have crippled America’s ability to protect itself from enemies foreign and domestic (i.e, communists, Antifa, BLM, MS-13 and 18, etc).

However, I’m hopeful that the Young Turks on our House committees (Nunes, Gowty, Meadows, Jordan, Gratz, etc., plus a few old hands on the Sen. Judiciary Committee), are beginning to expose our enemies machinations and are proposing new legislation to address our needs and to begin the repairs we so desperately need.

MM - CI in the old days

How many votes did Hitlery Rotten Criminal and her fellow RATS steal via millions of illegals voting, early voting bus caravans going from precinct to precinct and voting in the names of deceased people and celebrities, living and dead; Soros and his British made voting machines that were used in 16 states....I heard reports during early voting of those machines flipping Trump votes to Clinton when the voter cast a straight down line Republican vote for all the GOP candidates on the ballot, etc.

Clapper is insane. We’re to believe the Kremlin strategically positioned 80,000 agents in three states to decide the election in Trump’s favor.

Somewhere, Putin is laughing his head off.

And the vaunted American intelligency community hasn’t unmasked ONE Russian agent who voted for Trump.

Clapper’s fetish for bizarre conspiracy theories has to be seen to belived. His assertion is an insult to the intelligence.

Pro-Trump secret Russian agents. You can’t make this up. Clapper just did.

It turns Putin was smarter than Brennan, Clapper and Comey.

He had them all fooled and stole WI, MI and PA right under their noses.

Nice work if you can get it. We’re blessed with incredibly stupid people in our country.

I have to apologize to the Russians for being framed by them.

They came up with this sheer nonsense so they don’t have to admit they lost the election.

That’s what this is all about.
