Actually elected in 2014, mainly as a reaction to the Sandusky-Penn State scandal. The party talked her into resigning in the spring of 2016 so her role in the scandal fallout wouldn't make it difficult for Hillary to win the 20 electoral votes in November.
Or so they thought at the time.
