The obstacles to reunification of north and south are immense. Sure it could happen, but this is not a situation that is in any way similar to East and West Germany at the end of the Cold War.

It is pretty obvious to me that the NK message says absolutely nothing about needing to reunify the South and North. What this is is just a poor understanding and translation of English and that is why it is so stilted, using incorrect language. Obviously the North does not employ folks who write perfect English.
