Here’s just one example
NFL Players are employees. Plain and simple. And an employer has the absolute right to regulate the behavior of its employees during work hours. They can (and trust me, they will) be the dumbest sticks on the lawn outside of game time and no one is going to take that away from this Socratic bunch. But during the time they are actually working, they need to behave in a way the owners dictate.
Believe me, theres a lot Id LIKE to do at work but Im not allowed to because I am, in fact, AT WORK.
The good news is they will wind up with jobs at the Kwick-EE-Mart after their playing career is over and they are left to what their brains can handle.
If you move your right hand one key-position to the left, “miles” becomes “nukes”.
This is a very interesting article.
It looks like the Jets are “throwing in” some “free stuff” that means the effective ticket prices are significantly lower than the public listed price.
This is sort of like when a landlord throws in a month a year free rent to make it look like the listed rent is higher (perhaps to sucker potential building buyers).
The “listed price” ranged from $45 per seat per game (nosebleed section) to over $700 per seat per game for better seats.
Extra bonus—you get to freeze your rear end off for most of the games!
I'll believe it when the almighty NFL games STOP taking precedent over EVERYTHING ELSE that airs on television channels today.
Fox just announced my favorite show, The Orville, and a slew of other shows (Gotham, etc.) have been "delayed to a midseason premiere" and won't air new seasons until freakin' Dec. 28! Why? Because the NFL's Thursday Night Football has hijacked that ENTIRE evening for themselves, and even though football fans can literally watch freakin' football games WHEREEVER AND WHENEVER THEY WANT, they somehow STILL need to override MY television shows so I'm unable to watch the entertainment I enjoy when it was SUPPOSED to premiere in the fall.
If the NFL was really "committing suicide" and the "ratings were plummeting" and "nobody is watching" then they TV networks wouldn't be falling all over themselves to kiss the NFL's butt and make THEIR stupid games priority #1 on TV.
Like I said, I'll believe it when I see it.
Trump swayed NFL owners on anthem rules, Kaepernick case depositions reveal!
The Wall Street Journal obtained depositions from NFL owners, including Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, as part of a grievance case filed by former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick.
According to Jones deposition, reviewed by the Journal, the president personally told him, You cant win this one.
This is a very winning, strong issue for me, Trump reportedly said in a call with Jones. Tell everybody, you cant win this one. This one lifts me.
The feud between the White House and the NFL began in September 2017, when during a rally, the president suggested that if a player knelt or refused to stand for the anthem, the owner should get that son of a b—— off the field.
Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross reportedly said in his deposition that he thought Trump changed the dialogue.
I was totally supportive of [the players] until Trump made his statement, Ross reportedly said.
Owner of the Houston Texans Bob McNair said he thought the presidents comments were inappropriate.
But McNair, Ross and Jones all reportedly acknowledged that the protests were financially hurting their teams.
Excerpted, go to the link below for full story on how we and President Trump kicked their $orry A$$es.
Any Freeper, who posts that our protests were not impacting the NFL owners, needs to have their brains MRIed to check on their brain injuries or they were/are paid NFL Trolls.
