SEOUL/WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. officials crossed into North Korea on Sunday to hold talks on preparations for a possible summit, a U.S. newspaper reported, as North Korean leader Kim Jong Un reaffirmed his commitment to meet with U.S. President Donald Trump.

Both Pyongyang and Washington are pressing ahead on plans for a meeting between the two leaders after Trump pulled out of the scheduled June 12 summit on Thursday, only to reconsider the decision the next day.

The Washington Post, citing a person familiar with the arrangements, said Sung Kim, a former U.S. ambassador to South Korea and former nuclear negotiator with the North, was leading the preparations on the U.S. side.

Choe Son Hui, the North Korean vice foreign minister, the Post said. Pentagon official Randall Schriver is also in Seoul currently, the Post said.

The meetings are expected to continue on Monday and Tuesday and are focused on the issue of North Korea’s nuclear weapons program, it said.

South Korean President Moon Jae-in said earlier that he and North Korea’s Kim agreed at a surprise meeting on Saturday that the possible North Korea-U.S. summit must be held, Moon told a news conference in Seoul.

Kim reaffirmed his commitment to “complete” denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula and to a planned meeting with Trump, Moon told a news conference in Seoul.

Oh, you VILE WORMS at Reuters. Trump operates from a position of strength, the North Koreans grovel and capitulate and these leftist VERMIN try to make it sound like Trump doesn’t know what he’s doing.

I really don’t see how this country can heal and become healthy again until this cancer that is our media is somehow stopped.

Sounds like it could have been written by a few right here.☺

This only seems to confirm once again, much of the U.S. media has been infiltrated by deep state. If these criminals can seize power in some of the highest offices in the land, infiltrating the U.S. media had to be like a walk in the park in comparison.

South Korea holds all the cards here, I think you need to reconsider your statement...

South Korea has one of the best economies in that area and North Korea has nothing. Koreans want to be one people again and short of the Chinese influence that began at the end of WW2 they would still be. The United States enabled this mess by providing to revolutionary forces arms and supplies stockpiled in readiness for the invasion of Japan that were not needed when they surrendered. They did the same in North Vietnam and both of them ended up being “conflicts” we became embroiled in.

Koreans, despite the North/South moniker we put on them are ONE people and when the wall comes down they will be again, and it will not be a Socialist Paradise.

Those days have passed or are dying, globally

We all have had our Deep State masters to throw off, this is their time and it will happen

Anyone that thinks Trump and his people have not been and do not continue to be involved, either needs to improve their critical thinking skill, or is willfully ignorant, or is an imbecile.

The cancellation by Trump was likely a ruse to distract the media and the pundits while the real work goes on. Perhaps that’s wishful thinking on my part, but remember that you’re not dealing with the typical President. Without pressure from the USA and from China, why would NK continue to meet with SK? What possible reasons could they have?
