Chelsea Manning alarmed her friends Sunday night with a pair of since-deleted tweets in which she contemplated suicide.
The U.S. Senate candidate — a former soldier and whistleblower — who is hoping to unseat a Maryland Democrat shared a jarring photo of what appeared to be her poised to jump from the ledge of an unidentified high-rise building.
The figure in the photo was wearing pink pajamas and had painted toenails. It's unclear where the photo was taken.

This Bradley Manning person is a manipulative punk. I’m not sure if he is crazy or more evil.

Is that what they call treason now? He leaked thousands of dipolmatic cables, including some that identified locals who were working with US forces in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Or is “whistleblower” a reference to one of his other skills?
Seems like he/she has all the requisites for public office.
Transgenders have a very high rate of suicide.
The suicide rate is not diminished by surgery and hormone treatments. As I recall, it gets worse.
Remember the old Hyppocratic oath, that starts... First, do no harm?
I am sure we would all mourn his passing and beat ourselves up for thinking the unkind thoughts that surely drove him to contemplate suicide.
That he’s even conceivably viable as a demon-crat condidate proves what a freak state Maryland is.
The United States has been a federal republic, not a Democracy.

I wonder if he’ll threaten suicide every time he introduces a gay rights bill.
I wouldn’t vote for someone who pulled something like this. Of course, I don’t count compared to everyone else, but I don’t find attempted suicide drama interesting in a political candidate.
I’m shocked that it still is. How long until they remove it based on political pressure instead of sound science, like they did with homosexuality in 1973 ?
I wonder if the people concerned about Manning’s safety voiced any concern about all the lives he put at risk.
If only changing one’s sex was legal, suicides would never happen.

A boss I worked for was gay and he rented to trans-whatever freaks. Their little lovers’ quarrels, which were often, resulted in keeping the handyman busy. Big holes punched in the walls. Fixtures ripped out. Yeah; they’re stable.
