Obama believes that one important way we can maintain and increase a national identity, where citizens view themselves as Americans first, rather than members of a particular tribe (like our political party, or race, or gender) is by sharing stories with each other. The more we can do that, the more we'll see each other as fellow humans, rather than as caricatures representing some other tribe.

My solution is to follow the Constitution of the United States - the real, written one that means what the words say. If they comply, we are no longer divided. If not, then I would refer the globalist/thug class to the Declaration of Independence.

One can not combine the irrational divisive leftard ethics of sacrifice, collectivism, and force with the rational politics of egoism, individualism, and God-given natural rights. They are incompatible and contradictory.

So the way to join as one and do away with “diversity,” is to point it out at every opportunity. Why not try doing something for America together that doesn’t point it out. You don’t join by the recognition of separation.
