I share your suspicions but signed anyway, I feel sometimes you just have say what-the-heck to get in their face and that includes taking advantage of their own media tools.
The petition is now over 460,000 and rising every second. It is not “featured” (i.e. excluded?) but it comes out top if people simply browse for what is popular right now!

Here are the roots of the petition site.

Ben Rattray and Change.org

“a social network for social justice”

This is the enemy camp, no matter how they try to hide it. I regret giving them my name and email.

Will not again. No matter what.

They support Amnesty International (which is supported by Soros) Note: I have mixed feelings about Amnesty International. Some good, but they are NOT unbiased. I’ve heard complaints from my Syrian Kurd friends about how they project things.

And it would not surprise me if change .org was Soros funded too.

This is a “for profit” group. although they don’t currently show to be making a profit.

I simply do not trust them. Should have known better. First instinct told me they were trouble.
