School kids use #IfIDieInASchoolShooting to share thoughts on gun violence

An Ohio photographer's work is going viral online after she posted images of students using the popular hashtag #IfIDieInASchoolShooting to take a stand against school shootings.

Christina Angel of Paint the Sky Photography in Cincinnati, Ohio, shared photos of students ranging from elementary to high school with quotes using the somber hashtag. The professional photographer told a local Fox affiliate that she hopes the project will give students a visual voice on the matter.

Angel said she started the project after she noticed teenagers, including her own daughter, writing sobering messages using the hashtag on Twitter.

"There could be no tomorrow, and that's a reality we have to deal with going to school every day," seventeen-year-old Andie Angel, the photographer's daughter, told the outlet.

Each of the children photographed in the project are holding signs that show their own thoughts based on the hashtag prompt.

Let’s be clear hear- they aren’t “Taking a stand against school shootings” They ARE however taking a stand against our constitutional and inalienable right to own firearms for self protection

IF they were truly ‘taking a stand against school shootings’ they would be DEMANDING that schools arm teachers, hire guards, use metal detectors, force kids to use clear backpacks- screen for mentally ill students and kids with behavioral problems- etc

We were able to lock down airplane security where millions of people fly every day- yet we can’t lock down schools against violence?

These kids need to be reminded that only a handful of kids within any school where a shooting takes place are injured or killed, and there are over 100,000 public schools in the US.

If I was one of these kids I’d worry more about being killed or injured on my way to or from school.

Don’t worry kids. Governments killed about 1 million people in the 20th century for every kid killed in a school shooting in the 21st century. Back three and a half years ago four obnoxious little 16yo sh*tstains in high school went out for a joy ride doing nearly twice the posted speed limit crossing the centerline at the crest of a hill hitting a Sheriff’s Deputy head on. Three of the sh*tstains and the Deputy were killed instantly.
