This is key. Gowdy is covering for Rubio and Cotton. I think it will turn out that Rubio, certainly, knew about the illegal surveilance of the Trump campaign, and did nothing. And he ain’t alone.
Also Gowdy avoids talking anything about the counterintel investigation. He carefully parses. I read it as “If the FIB received intellegence, and they were not aware it was planted, they did what they should do.”
