The U.S. created a robust 223,000 new jobs in May to push unemployment down to an 18-year low of 3.8%, signaling that a nine-year-old economic expansion still has plenty of steam despite being one of the oldest ever. The increase in hiring exceeded the 200,000 forecast of economists polled by MarketWatch.

Unemployment is 100% if youre one of the unemployed.

If you are unemployed today, it’s on YOU.
That is the chart for all to see. Full-Time, not part-time, jobs are on the rise.
Under Zero, we saw tens of millions of full-time jobs disappear. Zero counted someone having two part-time jobs as two full-time jobs to get his numbers up.
“If you are unemployed today, its on YOU.”
Every single store I visited yesterday had Help Wanted signs up.
Trump works almost round the clock to make the country great again... and it’s happening.
God Bless President Trump.
I think it was a great move by the POTUS to come out and “break protocol” before the numbers are officially released. Liberal heads are exploding, and the MSM is forced to report them.
9 year expansion? According to what stats? If what we had under Obama was an expansion I’d hate to suffer under a mild recession.
Honesty and financial journalism are barely friends in the best of times. I agree that I hardly call the Obama period as an “expansion”.
And NOW they want to slow things down at the Fed. Hmmm.
Was the 1.9% after working in population growth rate?
9 year old expansion my ass. Try 9 months.
As far as I know the rate was adjusted for inflation but not for increase in population of 1.77%. You do the math.
Replacing three full time jobs with benefits with five part time jobs without benefits saying "Fries with that?" as we saw under Obama was not real job growth.
What we're seeing now under President Trump is real job growth.
FNC did a short report about this 15-20 minutes ago. They didnt include the stats on the black and Latino unemployment and spent much more time reading Pelosis response than in the report itself.
FNC is swampy.
“Now would be a good time to make the unemployment numbers more accurate. It was back during the early W era that he ordered the Labor department to make them dishonest.”
Yes, I remember when the REAL unemployment rate was around four or five percent in the mid-sixties. Anyone who did NOT want a job needed to find a place to hide. Many of those who had a full time job with good pay also had a part time job which paid well. It was fairly common for a 22 year old male high school graduate to be married with a child or even two, a homeowner and driving a nearly new or brand new car. At twenty three, without a college degree, I was working in a manufacturing engineering department, driving a new Mustang and earning the equivalent of probably seventy thousand a year or more now and I was asked, “What is wrong with you” because, wait for it, at twenty three I was still unmarried.
In that respect America was great.
I knew someone who lived in NYC back in the 60’s and early 70’s. He said he never worried about losing his job, because he could find a new good one the same day.
He told me that because we were talking about how hard it was to find a good job in current times.
Yeah. A friend of mine is on of them. Thinks it’s all due to Obama.
