“Basically Trump is tearing the Deep State apart. He is going after their money and Wall Street stock accounts.”
Right, because that wouldn’t have any effect on the average American whose retirement is wrapped up in a 401k.

Nothing to do with a 401K. It’s more along the lines of insider trading and using the Deep State to make money.

“old-fashioned protectionist”
How has China accomplished its remarkable economic growth over the past few decades with the mountain of protectionism that it maintains? It’s a paradox.

Why does he keep talking about “Mr. Trump?” Donald Trump Jr. has nothing to do with these things, PRESIDENT Trump does. He should talk about President Trump.

I would guess the price of the aluminum that goes into an F-35 is roughly 0.0000000001% of the delivered price.
If that.

Too many people want to continue living in the dreamland of imagined whorled peas forever and ever, when there’s an existential threat on the way. It’s childish. It’s insanity. We need to have a large manufacturing base ready to operate on any given day. We need to get a few million young men in shape.
Yes. The “patriarchy” and all of that. Waaaaaaaaa.
But it’s do or die. Remember the balance of payments deficits and the piles of debt, too. Can’t really survive the Walter Mitty way.

"Canadian steel and aluminum are actually integral to U.S. national defense, as Commerces Section 232 reports acknowledge."
We know where the loyalties of New York trade interests lie, but we need some facilities tucked safely into the middle of the U.S. Midwest, too. It's a tactical and economic thing.
"Mr. Trump complained that Lockheed s F-35s cost too much, but now hes going to make U.S. fighter jets and other weapons more expensive,..."
Not if we get enough shops started to have some domestic competition again. The Wall Street Journal has really been leaning to the left for some time. Too many people are so spoiled, that they're tired of living. Let's get going. Let the Trump Administration continue to do its job better than any other.
Remember that those who complain the most against manufacturing on U.S. soil are living in the places most likely to be destroyed in a nuclear exchange in this stupid paradigm and anti-American, anti-family insanity. Let's roll, so we can try to defend our evil coastal cities (don't know why).

We need to have a large manufacturing base ready to operate on any given day. We need to get a few million young men in shape. Yes, we need to get a few million young men and women in shape. In shape to build lots of very accurate things that blow up...real bad...and to be used selectively in the world's most violent $h!+holes.
And those few million young people can stay right here, alive and well, in the good ole USA, and build even more of those high-tech anti-terrorist devices, for the Navy and the Air Force to deliver.
