Trump struck a heavy blow against the deep state by enacting these tariffs.

This is a matter of American security and an Art-Of-The-Deal maneuver all in one.

It is VITAL that we have the instantly available ability to produce huge quantities of steel and aluminum.

Maybe the Wall Street Journal should send their people overseas and convince those countries about the evils of imposing tariffs on American goods.

Isn't it funny how that part never gets mentioned? How about everybody we trade with drops all tariffs imposed on our exports and then we can restart with a clean slate?

Basically Trump is tearing the Deep State apart. He is going after their money and Wall Street stock accounts.

I still don’t think the left and establishment get it. Trump Corporation is an international company that runs construction projects globally. To do that, it take knowledge of raw materials, shipping, politics and people at both the global and local level. Trump and his team have been doing this much longer than many sitting politicians have been in office.

When you think about it, Trump’s HUMINT blows away most intel agencies. Wouldn’t surprise me if bringing the US Embassy to Jerusalem was a quid pro quo with Netanyahu and his team.

With Steve Moore and Larry Kudlow behind the scenes I think all will be swell. Not to worry.

“was unable to reach satisfactory arrangements”

“I believe in free trade, but it also must be FAIR TRADE. I’m not going to let our great companies and workers be taken advantage of anymore!” President Trump

(SOUNDBITE OF TV SHOW, “LARRY KING LIVE”)

TRUMP: I think a lot of people are tired of watching other countries ripping off the United States. This is...

KELLY: That’s not from the campaign trail. That was from three decades ago. He was on CNN’s “Larry King.” He was 41 years old.

Trade is a two way street. They NEED our markets. Without trade with the US, Mexico would be just another shithole country ..... wait.....

Canada has been sucking off our teat forever. We can do without maple syrup .... wait.... don’t we make that here too in Vermont and New York?

We hold ALL the cards here. THEY NEED US!

And held the votes of my immediate family. My dad has his pension through AK Steel (formerly Armco), which has been repeatedly hammered by foreign steel dumping over the years.

Tariffs penalizes the purchase of foreign goods. Income taxes penalizes the earning of reportable income.

Folks, which tax is innately rational, if one believes in a work ethic and of taking care of one’s own family?

The WSJ is globalist and it wants to hurt US families!

I am not a tarrif supporter at all. But I have some questions for the genius globalists in the GOPe and their mouth pieces in the WSJ.

1) Do you think America has been treated fairly when it comes to trade?

2) If so, explain how it is fair for our “partners” to charge five times the tariffs on our goods as we charge for theirs. Also, do you think we deserve it?

3) Given the years of America being treated unfairly and our globalist leaders giving up the farm, what leverage to get better trade deals do we have left? Should we send a strongly worded letter? Or perhaps the fact of the matter is that after years of selling us down the road tarrifs are the ONLY effective leverage left for one trying to negotiate for better trade deal.

Why does the rest of the world almost universally practice protectionism? And name a country with lower average tariff rates than the USA. Answer these questions or shut up you globalist hacks at the noWall Street Urnal.

The 30 year globalist experiment in "Free Trade" is an abject failure. Why? because the rest of the of world didn't play along and used the USA like a cheap whore.

Tariffs have never impacted the production or sale of goods in other countries to other countries.

These companies already did what you are suggesting. That’s why we have lost so many jobs to China. There is no threat of further loss of jobs, because the goal every country and its companies have is selling inside the US.

So, pay the tax one way or the other. You won’t be nearly as competitive if your product is 25% more expensive in the US as what it is sold for elsewhere.

Oh, and by the way, tariffs exist everywhere. Even Singapore has tariffs.

And get this: “Free Trade” exists no where in the world!
