[No mention of the problem its not lawful for US troops to be in Syria.]
Was it lawful for Syria to sponsor Sunni jihadists against GI’s in Iraq? Was it lawful for Assad’s father to massacre tens of thousands of civilians in Hama? The article doesn’t mention these things either. Because it’s a report on what happened during that engagement, not a comprehensive recent history of Syria.

The American people specifically and overwhelmingly said “NO!” to this war when Obama and Kerry and McCain tried to sell it to us with fraud.
Therefore, none of your listed concerns is US business. That US troops are where they should not be is what our business actually is.
Something a loyal American should have no problem understanding in full.
