The Left is the reason the power plants have gone down hill. The Dept. of Energy, run of, by and for leftards, permits older plants to comply with old regs, “grandfather”ing. But if they try making major capital improvements, they must get the entire plant completely up to the current, more onerous code, or it will be shut down. As a consequence, power plants do not make capital improvements. They just muddle through with antiquated machinery and methods.

I guess we shouldn’t expect more out of them. They are rather limited in their ability to think clearly.
Of course, that’s using our set of goals. For their’s it’s completely rational.
It’s why we don’t support them.
