Victory in California is still possible, focus has to be on taxes. Gas taxes being a topper, but the Democrats plan to triple state taxes for 'single payer' health coverage would be a strong second.
Not saying a GOP governor could stop any of that, but a barrage of vetos and constantly pointing out when liberal plans cost Californians even more money could flip enough seats to end liberal supermajorities.

USA registered voters are about equally split 50/50, which is why 7 battleground states sway the elections one way or another. A Republican candidate has a 50% chance of being elected president at any time.
California registered voters are 2:1 Democrat to Republican, with over 5 million more registered Democrats. It is a one party state with a Democrat stranglehold on politics where there has not been a Republican elected to statewide office in almost 25 years (I don’t count liberal Hollywood celebrity Arnold Schwarzenegger).
There is NO chance for a Republican California gubernatorial candidate.
