In Illinois John Cox ran in every jungle primary he could find. Did he actually profit from, and learn from, his experience in Illinois?

Illinois doesn’t have jungle primaries, which are also called wide open primaries. In a California primary, someone can vote for a Republican for the U.S. Senate, a Democrat for the U.S. House, and a Republican for governor. That’s not possible in Illinois, which has open primaries.
