If a meeting would de-facto lead to further appeasement in the same template as under previous administrations, would not one actually -want- the meeting derailed in favor of true CVID (denuclearization)—which was the administration’s admirable initial starting point?
Who pays for the meeting has nothing to do with appeasement or denuclearization.
