So I guess since many Islam practices are mandatory, the jails are allowed to cater to a Muslim's every religious demand.

I bet they wouldn’t be allowed to withhold a Koran.

- SCOTUS refusing to hear the case is not the same as agreeing.
- What's America coming to when neither Wardens, judges or appeal courts recognize the value of an inmate reading the bible.
- Given the inmates wrong belief that he could fall from grace, I think he made a pretty good case that scripture reading was mandatory.

Could the court comment on Romans 15:4?
For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that through patience and through comfort of the scriptures we might have hope.

Conraad Hoever is a sex offender.
He was placed in Solitary Confinement and should not expect the right to read a Bible, the Koran or the funny papers.
To: Teacher317
Christianity isnt mandatory because it doesnt issue fatwas
We need the pope to get a little tougher, declare death on those slackers who miss Mass

A proper worship in any Christian faith mandates a reading of scripture, the sacred writings of Christianity contained in the Bible. You can’t read what you do not have.
The State is prohibiting the Free Exercise of this man’s Religion. Patently unconstitutional.

Even in solitary confinement, one’s freedom of religion exists. And a sex offender, if anything, has MORE need to a Bible. If Muslim, he would be allowed a Koran.

He is Sex Offender.
He sexually assaulted children.
Christians do not sexually assault children.
He has no right to a Bible while in solitary confinement.
To: Blue House Sue
Solitary means no reading?
To: silverleaf
LOL The pope allows bishops and priests to administer communion to those who publicly support abortion.
To: Mr Rogers
“Even in solitary confinement, ones freedom of religion exists.”
If the First Amendment exists while in solitary confinement, do the 2nd and 4th Amendments exist while in solitary confinement?
To: madison10
Uh. no. Solitary means alone in a cell, typically 24 hours a day. All inmates are allowed materials to petition court and usually 1 or 2 other books even in SHUs.
