Possibility of Trump pardoning himself sparks GOP pushback
The Hill ^ | 06/03/18 | Mallory Shelbourne

New talk of President Trump possibly pardoning himself drew pushback from Republicans on the Sunday show circuit this week.

Both Congressional Republicans and the president's attorney, Rudy Giuliani, urged caution that a self-issued pardon could be politically problematic for Trump.

But Giuliani said the president “probably” has the power to give himself a pardon even though doing so would prove to be difficult.

“I think the political ramifications of that [pardoning] would be tough. Pardoning other people is one thing. Pardoning yourself is another,” Giuliani told ABC’s “This Week.”

Etc...

Trump isn't pardoning himself.

He's trolling Democrats.

Dance, marionettes, dance.

More fake news. I bet an anonymous source or senior ranking high official floated this bile to the media and this will be the new narrative.

If he did... Mueller can go fly a kite!

Then again, you just never know with his political witch hunt.

The voters can decide if its justified or not.

Why would Trump need to pardon himself?
There is no Russia collusion.

He wouldn’t, but he can. The President’s power to pardon is absolute. The one and only recourse is impeachment.

The Hill is full of progressives posing as moderates.

The President can pardon pretty much anyone for a crime EXCEPT in matters of impeachment. This is plainly written in the US Constitution.

Also “problematic” for Trump would be if he won millions from the Powerball lottery and didn’t turn the majority of the money over to freeloading, illegal aliens, “gay” groups and “Planned Parenthood”.

Why would Trump need to pardon himself? There is no Russia collusion.

Why? Because they would entrap him and pronounce him guilty of whatever they possibly can. Swamp.

If Trump isn’t Mueller’s target, then well its just trolling him and the Left.

Considering there isn’t any crime to investigation and collusion isn’t even a federal crime.

That’s a waste of $17 million dollars, to quote liberals, could feed a lot of hungry kids.

You are precisely correct. This is exactly what Trump does.....he lets loose with these tweets and these phrases for the specific purpose of driving everybody apoplectic. It is an excellent tactic for getting the opposition and the sub Rosa opposition within the Republican party to reveal themselves, and it very rarely fails to work beautifully. It is a magnificent tactic. And while it is somewhat jarring in a way for those of us who support him, you simply cannot blame him for employing the tactic that unfailingly works. As long as the tactic Works he should use it, because it causes
The opposition to reveal themselves, and to display their vulnerabilities.

Why would Trump need to pardon himself?

He doesn't need to but he might hint at it to watch the liberals run around in circles screaming.

Better then the Gorilla Channel. :)

Actually Congress can decide. The Constitution specifically restricts the pardon power from being used to nullify impeachment proceedings.
