Little evidence to support the efficacy of more gun control
The Hill ^ | June 1, 2018 | John R. Lott, Jr.

Gun control advocates seem willing to latch onto anything they can use to justify more stringent laws. They were at it again in the wake of the recent Santa Fe High School shooting. In the New York Times last Thursday, Nicholas Kristof pushed for 10 supposedly “modest” gun control measures.

Just have the gun control freaks check on the gun laws of Chicago to see how well they’re working.

Gun control isn’t about protecting people by controlling guns.

It’s about protecting the elites by controlling people.

There is no such thing as gun violence. There is only violence that is accomplished by people using guns, knives, explosives, or clubs. None of the possible blamed items I just mentioned can accomplish violence by themselves. They must have someone to use them to accomplish violence. And you cannot take the tools of violence away from them as they will find others and always have because you can run over people and they can steal or buy a car and they can’t be taken off the road.

The possibilities are endless for one person to use. So without stopping the person, it will continue as the only type of violence left is using hands, fist, feet, or any other attached part of the body to accomplish. That is where the laws should be directed if they are going to make more. And part of that is not to relieve the victim of the opportunity to protect themselves.

And none of that is anything other than common sense. So instead arresting tools, arrest people and don’t make deals that put them back out on the street. Or don’t make deals with illegals that allow them to walk our streets.

The”stringent law” that ought be called for, is for a familiarization course in all type of firearms that should be made MANDATORY for all youth enrolled in school, beginning about age 12, the sixth grade.

First, even to RECOGNIZE firearms. The differences between bolt-action, lever-action, pump-action and semiautomatic rifles, based on the mechanisms used to load, cock and fire the weapon. Then spell out the differences between pistols, between revolvers and magazine-fed pistols, and the means by which these are loaded, cocked and fired. The various safety devices built into the weapons, and the rules for safe handling of both loaded and unloaded weapons. The rules for determining an appropriate target, and the prohibitions against use of weapons in certain ways.

And finally, for those of whom show practical aptitude for learning the skills of aiming, firing, and developing accuracy of fire. these youth should be given training in the care, feeding, grooming and proper methods of safeguarding the firearm that proves most practical for personal use.

Not all young people will develop the skills or appreciation for the inherent capabilities of firearms, a limitation that should be determined well before they enter into a course of practice and study of actually handling a firearm. Whether it be of an underlying malicious attitude, or inattention to learning the basic rules of handling firearms, or simply a singular paralyzing dread of firearms altogether, a second option should be offered, in learning the skills necessary to avoid, evade, escape or confront an active shooter with malice aforethought.

Of course, these individuals should also be tattooed with their name and Social Security number, for purposes of identification should they fall into the situation where there is an active shooter, and all their training fails completely.

“gun control”
Don’t use their vocabulary. You can’t control a gun. The gun has no will of its own. Humans do. Humans have a free will.

So we currently have NO gun laws and this is why these mass murder occur?
Well NO we have dozens upon dozens of gun laws. Federal, State and local ones. Not to mention the fact that murdering or assaulting people is also covered by Federal and State laws.
So we have all these laws concerning gun and all these laws concerning murdering people and people are still mass murdering people.

So the answer according to a bunch of kids, the MSM and a few useless politicians is, you guessed it MORE LAWS! Specifically more Gun laws. Does this make sense to you? At all? Of course not. We must stand strong against this assault on our Constitution and our law abiding citizens!

Or fists, elbows, knees and feet. Look at the statistics for unarmed homicide.

“It’s about protecting the elites by controlling people.”

Nailed it! And by far the most effective way of protecting elites & their agenda is...CONFISCATION.

They’re edging closer to that in Britain. Even knives in private hands are now suspect.

“Gun control advocates seem willing to latch onto anything they can use to justify more stringent laws.”

Makes complete sense, when your goal is to have guns ultimately confiscated. Just look at this little Craphole “village” in Illinois, now making it’s own “gun confiscation laws” while the local judges play with themselves under their robes!

Interesting thought. Can a foot or a hand that killed someone be considered an independent property so it cannot be held responsible for the death of a person as it will be covered under the law like a gun and have to be removed from the rest of the person? If they are making the person doing the shooting responsible, then they are saying if you remove the hand or foot, the rest of the person cannot harm someone in a fist fight or strike or shoot anyone.

I studied martial arts many years and I carried the five documents while I was still studying identifying my privilege of being, and qualifying to be, an instructor. So I had written documentation just like a CCL that proved me a certified and insured instructor according to the state and feds. (Although I haven’t instructed since 2012 and it’s lapsed) Does that mean they have to take my hands and feet away from me so I can’t harm someone? Where does it stop?
