Special Counsel Robert Mueller is sensitive to pulling "another Comey" as the Russia probe enters its final months, Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani said in an interview Sunday.
Calling the investigation a "long nightmare with the American people," Giuliani also issued a challenge directly to Mueller's team, telling investigators to "man up" rather than seek to subpoena President Trump.
"They have to make a decision without it," Giuliani said on ABC's "This Week," noting that the Trump team has already made available several witnesses and turned over more than a million documents. "So, come on, man up and make your decision."
Meanwhile, former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski told “Fox News Sunday” that President Trump’s legal team will “take it to court” if Mueller subpoenas him as part of the Russia probe.

If Mueller does issue a subpoena, Trump can simply ignore it.
Let Mueller try to enforce it.
That said, its time to wrap it up. There’s no evidence found the President colluded with Russia or obstructed justice.

I’m guessing the larger negotiation behind the scenes is whether the Deep State will be allowed to declare it a draw, go back to status quo ante, no further charges against Trump and his team and no Deep State criminals charged with crimes for illegally surveilling the Trump campaign and trying to frame Trump and his team for criminal conspiracy with the Russian government in the biggest political scandal in US history.
Because if we had a real Attorney General who had the backbone and integrity to actually investigate this situation, and started turning over rocks to see exactly who was directing the Maltese Professor Joseph Mifsud to bait Papadapoulos with info, and who exactly drafted the smears against Trump and his team and fed them to Christopher Steele, then it just might be that the trail leads back to Team Hillary, Team Obama, and British intelligence.
Hopefully Trump doesn’t take the deal and pursues these criminals to the end of the earth. But that would require an Attorney General who is willing to fight for truth and justice.
True. There is no one higher in authority that could issue such an order because the Executive is an EQUAL branch, anf POTUS is head of this equal branch.
If anyone did issue such an illegal order, POTUS could order his arrest!
