We are moving out next year, and we’re conservative. Hubby is a California native and loves backpacking in the Sierras. Never thought he’d want to leave, and he’s more ready to move than I am.
I think a lot of them are leaving because they’ve aged and gone from blue to red.
They, and some other demographics, are really doing a number on the Denver area. We are quickly heading to L.A. of the Rockies.
A lot of them are just moving to other parts of CA. Here in the Sacramento area houses are about 1/4 of what they are 75 miles away in the Bay Area. They sell their houses for over a million and buy a bigger house here for 400K. It’s driven the price of housing up by 30% in the last 4 years, but at least we have open space to build more. There isn’t any in the Bay Area which is why the prices are so insane there.
