[FULL TITLE] Netflix Approval Plummets Among Republicans Amid Obama Production Deal, Susan Rice Board Appointment
Republicans approval of the internet streaming giant Netflix has dropped amid the companys recent embrace of Susan Rice and Barack Obama, according to polling data obtained by Variety.
A survey by the research firm YouGov found that Netflixs positive impression rating with Republicans fell by 16 percent since the beginning of 2018. Meanwhile, the companys positive impression rating with Democrats has risen by 15 percent in the same period.
While Netflix maintains strong overall approval ratings from the American public, data shows that on a general perception scale of -100 to 100 the company scores 62.8 among Democrats and 41.8 percent among Republicans as of May 31.
The fall in approval comes amid the companys announcing a multi-year agreement with Barack and Michelle Obama to help produce films and series for the platform a mega-deal that was reportedly brokered by former Obama official and campaign fundraiser Ted Sarandos, whos now Netflixs chief content officer.
Sarandos recently downplayed claims of political bias, stating that it is not The Obama Network and there is no political slant to programming.
In March, Netflix also appointed Obamas former national security adviser Susan Rice to its board of directors. The California-based company also produced over a hundred episodes of late-night talk show content for left-wing comedian Chelsea Handler, whose show was canceled last October. Comedian Michelle Wolfs Netflix talk show has taken on the Trump-bashing role that Handlers show once owned.

TO COMMENT OR CANCEL-—Netflix/Customer service——1 (866) 579-7172
I cancelled as soon as I heard they were in talks with the Obamas. It was very satisfying to let them know exactly why.
REALITY CHECK A Netflix exec recently said their target is the release of 80 original films this year, which range from sub-indie low-budget pictures to $100 million blockbusters. Netflix's efforts to produce new content, secure the rights for additional content, and diversify through 190 countries has resulted in the company racking up billions in long-term debt: $21.9 billion as of September 2017, up from $16.8 billion from the same time the previous year, although only $6.5 billion of this is long-term debt; the remaining are long-term obligations.
Don’t cancel Netflix; just don’t watch Barry’s show.
Netflix knows what households are watching what shows, and acts accordingly.
Susan Rice’s first production should be: “Five Times the Liar”
NetFlix, and many others, are going to be the new history books.
Before this is over the Obama Administration will be presented as the most successful administration in history.
It will be played over and over again in our schools.
And Obama claims politics won’t be involved in anything. Like who believes anything he says other than the idiots on the left?
Republicans pay for their own Netflix account. Democrats use their Mom’s account.
So Democrats want their entertainment politicized?
Netflix...Starbucksflix...NFLflix. They must all have the same brilliant CEO.
Canceled mine last week. Enjoyed calling up the commie-lib customer service agent to do it.
They expect to have their entertainment politicized. They need constant reinforcement because they're basically at war with reality.
If the real world peeks through, they can be triggered, or suffer a psychotic break.
Any Republican, especially conservative, who still has a Netflix account should count themselves a member of the RINO brigade. Trust me, you can live without Netflix. I dont buy the lie that they are not the Obama Network. If you pay for Netflix you are supporting Obama, that is the bottom line and one that I can not support.
Even here most will keep it. Bread and circus is a top priority if not the top priority.
I just cancelled and I told them why!! They were never worth the money any way!!
Wrong. Netflix has frequently stated that ratings for individual shows is meaningless to them. The ONLY thing they care about is how many subscribers they have.
I still have netflix. I like their indie stuff and their foreign films/shows. I love their British stuff. Fallet is hilarious.
Here’s a tidbit.
EVERYTHING produced by Netflix is easily available online for free.
I get much more entertainment value and educational opportunities on Youtube than I ever have on Netflix.
