The Tepublicans control both houses of the state legislature and the Governor though a Democrat, has a favorable NRA rating. This bill has no chance.

NC is also a Reciprocity State for other States with CCW— so a person from out of State, where they are legally owning a firearm (w/or w/out a CCW from that State) may have said firearm while in NC. That possession is recognized as legal in a reciprocal agreement that is encoded in NC State Law.
So, messing with what guns may be “possessed” would run right up against the firearms “possessed” by reciprocity holders of firearms while in the state. Stupid, and meaningless, just like ole..... “Verla”
