This is truly put up or shut up time for Sessions. After the release of this IG report, if he and Rosenstein don’t immediately issue indictments and start criminal proceedings, they both need to be fired on the spot.

Trump should do it and let the chips fall where they lay. I actually don’t believe the damage to him will be as bad as some would say. Certainly not worse than it already is.

Not sure Mitch and the Wisconsin Weasel will approve.

I once considered Sessions the quintessential Sluthern gentleman.

I thought he possessed the qualities of dignity, decency, kindness and
patriotism that the noble south has long been known for.

How wrong I was. The man is a disgrace. He is a cuckold

Can’t DJT just appoint an interim AG? (And DAG?)

I’d LOVE to know the insider details about Sessions appointment.

I’ve said before, the DOJ is the political brain and nerve center of Fed.gov. Any President needs an absolute loyalist in there. Kennedy appointed his brother. Clinton had his pitfall Reno. Obama did it right - he had true fellow travelers as his AG. Hell, he even made sure they were both black.

What was Trump thinking with Sessions??

“Trump should do it and let the chips fall where they lay.”

I agree, but I think President Trump will wait until after the midterm elections.
I believe the republicans will hold onto both houses of Congress.

Sessions and Rosenstein will be gone. And anyone else he wants out the door.
More evidence will come out to vindicate Trump.

He will never have a presidential honeymoon, but he gets a startover.

“Sessions is working behind the scenes, low-key, and is playing 3-D chess. Trump is just playing along, criticizing Sessions, but it’s all part of a grand strategy to take down the Deep State”.

I’ve seen and heard different variations of the above. I’d like to believe it but, like many others, I’m skeptical.

I think people in the FBI and CIA are going to flip! Once the IG report comes out it’s going to embarrass Sessions bigly, and Rosenstein is going down. I now think Trump knows how all intertwined the deep state is and Sessions and Rosenstein will be fired forthwith!

So what prevents him from sacking Sessions?

I have not heard anyone that counts say he is doing a good job at DOJ.

Has anyone considered the possibility that Sessions was one of the informants?

“This is truly put up or shut up time for Sessions. “

Yeah, and its high time Trump put up or shut up too! He’s doing a great job in all respects, except one, managing HIS Justice Department. He should have fired that worthless, quisling f*cker a year ago! There is absolutely no excuse for the DOJ not cooperating with the Congress. Their collective behavior should have gotten a bunch of them fired long, long ago. As the CEO of his companies, he would not have allowed what has gone on in his “government company!”

I’ll stand by AG Sessions recusing himself. He would not have been able to accomplish anything if the maniacs had been able to keep him totally wrapped up in this fiasco. AG Sessions is methodical and measured in his position, but without him there’s a risk of a total traitor or no one else getting confirmed.

Jeff Sessions has been AG for 1 year, 3 months, 27 days. Or 481 days.

Trump is putting even more pressure for Sessions to resign in disgrace.

Will Sessions be unselfish enough to do it?

Hopefully a group of Senators will quietly go have “the talk” with him, and that will be it. But I think Trump will have to outright fire the pos.

Is something else going on? Trump can fire Sessions any time he wants, yet he doesn’t.

I don't know if Trump is stupid about this or if he's just playing dumb, but if Sessions knew there was no "Russian collusion" then refusing himself from the investigation was EXACTLY the right move to make.

Odd as it may sound, it may have been a guest on MSNBC (of all places) who first raised the key point about Sessions' recusal a few days ago.

The guy pointed out that he thinks Trump is going to be completely vindicated in all this ... and by recusing himself, Sessions effectively shields Trump from any accusations that the whole investigation was just a political whitewash.

Two possibilities:

1. Trump is about to fire Sessions because Sessions messed up Yugely.

2. Trump is Bashing Sessions, then waiting for libtards in the MSM to start defending him then Sessions drops the Hammer on the DNC making the MSM HAVE TO COVER IT.

That is my Analysis of it...

I would not hold my breath for any indictments.
McCabe was given a criminal referral almost 2 months ago.
Yet, still no indictment for McCabe.
Even though he lied 4 times. 3 times under oath.
