It’s a nice song, but it IS NOT our national anthem, and frankly, I don’t like it getting equal billing with our national anthem.
The Left wants to do away with our national anthem, and I DO NOT like playing along with the concept.
Our national anthem has the exact words in that first verse, that reminds us the price paid for our freedom.
It kills the Left to hear it, and I say rub their noses in it every time possible.

We sang it at an Memorial Day event a couple of weeks ago, and I’d say even the military members there only knew the first few phrases.

I often stop singing mid song. The president stopped singing the national anthem last week when he was at Arlington. I think it was because the choir was singing, and he realized some might think it rude of him to be singing while they were performing on the same stage. But who knows.
