Strawman away. It was a dumb thing for the President to be speculating about. A pardon conjures up Wrongdoing in people’s minds. And look now the DNC Media exploited it to their advantage.

President Trump was responding to the speculation in the press and amongst the democrats (I know - that’s redundant) as to whether it would be constitutional.
No matter which way he handled it, he would be excoriated in the press. Why should he ignore the constitutional question because some politician, somewhere (which includes the presstitutes) will gripe about it?
